Lamina has a few quirks that are wildly worth learning and abiding by. For starters, hands must be warm to apply it, as it relies on this warmth to melt lusciously into our skin. Lamina is applied by using mostly dry and warm hands. Twist palms together and make tiny circles in order to get it to liquify. It will feel granular a few moments before it turns to the consistency of warm honey. Keep going, using friction, until it melts completely. Then glide onto moistened skin.
Lamina Rose Silk Melt is so dense that a little goes a long way. Each application only requires 1/4 – 1/2 teaspoons. So do the math; this pound may very well last you one to three years.

The lamina is truly a love child between Skin Harmonics face butter & a delicate primer. I can even wear it under my make-up because it works better than any primer I’ve ever used. When I first starting using Lamina, I was a bit discouraged because it took so much effort to 1) get it out of the container and 2) more effort to warm it in my palms BUT…Danny was right! The extra effort is worth it! It feels different from the original face butter. Hard to explain how it’s better. It’s like a thin veil of dewy goodness. I guess an added bonus with all that smooshing into my palms is stronger chest and arm muscles!

I LOVE Lamina-it keeps so well in your cabinet, a fantastic product for keeping moisture in your skin! It is worth the little bit of time learning to use it. And the jar lasts sooo long, that in itself is so convenient. I love it more than the “THE Butter”!

Just like the previous reviews, this facial moisture barrier is worth the extra effort of learning how to apply. My 50 year old combination skin loves this product. I just purchased the bulk so I won’t worry about running out for quite awhile. It is deeply moisturizing but does not leave an oily look on my face. It wears beautifully under my makeup and makes my skin feel more plump.
